The Grant SWCD is a local unit of government that manages and directs natural resource programs within Grant County. The SWCD works with landowners in rural, urban and lakeshore areas to implement a programs for the conservation, use, and development of soil, water, and related resources.
Grant SWCD is committed to assisting those interested in improving soil health within our community. We have partnered with a local producer to demonstrate the power of No-Till and Cover Crops within the county.
Grant SWCD assists county residents with the implementation of a variety of conservation practices which include Rain Gardens, Shoreline Restorations, Water and Sediment Control Basins, and much more.

Regular testing ensures your water is safe and helps identify potential issues before they become serious health risks. Thanks to the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment, Horizon Public Health has received grant funding to support the treatment of contaminants in private wells. This program helps address common concerns, including: arsenic, coliform bacteria, lead, manganese, and nitrate.
Well owners must meet specific requirements to qualify for this funding.
